Gummed Works

Recent passerby have probably noticed prolonged posting times and a preponderance of redundant postings. These pesky developments are still not localized or remedied, despite my wiring Emory about it posthaste. Regrettably, he appears to be unreachable at the present time, but rest assured, we’re working on a solution and hope to have the works ungummed in an expeditious fashion. Toward that end, I’ve enlisted the services of one Lafayette G. Pettibone (pictured above) of Funkley, MN (pop. 15). Mr. Pettibone’s usual province is antique typewriters, specifically Royal and Remington models, but he assures me that the learning curve on MT software-related repairs is a snap.

As Clifford (wisely?) disconnects the Reply feature in his reviews, I'm hijacking this thread momentarily to correct a small factual error in his recent review: guitarist Raymond Boni is not Swiss but French, born in Toulon in 1947 (it says here).

And he's now corrected the mistake so anyone reading the article won't have the faintest bloody idea about what I was on about. Wouldn't be the first time either..
Hey, is anyone else out there? Since Bags was "reborn" (it's still pretty slow uploading), not many people have posted. Anyway, to whom it may concern, I saw a pretty awesome concert last night with Axel Dörner & Robin Hayward, followed by The Contest of Pleasures (Axel's trio with John Butcher and Xavier Charles). Just thought I'd mention that, fwiw.

Hi, Walter!

Dan: wisely? Maybe. The comments feature is something that's been both appreciated and hated, the latter a minority, since we've been a website. I don't know why Cliff opts to go his route, but it's his call on his reviews. I think the dialogue that tends to come out of some entries ends up beneficial and informative. Often though, the commentary and dialogue ends up turning an otherwise harmless review into coals. But we've had this conversation before.

Far as the slowness, I'm working on an upgrade to the site's software and a couple of other self-sustaining initiatives. Derek's about to take the full helm, and I'm grateful. IHM is about to be off on its own server and domain, which will prolly be noticeably helpful to bags.

Total wanker bypasses Bagatellen's supposedly foolproof anti-spam system and fucks up the site...

Get it sorted out once & for all for Chrissakes or people will just stop posting here. Or just turn off the comments button on reviews that are more than a month old, or something.
