A fair number of Bags readers have probably already perused Dan Warburton’s tour diary in this month’s Paris Trans, but in the interest of hipping those who haven’t here’s a handy LINK. As I understand it, most of the trip was undertaken by train due to an untimely gaff by the tour van rental company. Something about a case of double-booking with the So Cal stoner metal band Fu Manchu. Yankee rock label reps can fire mighty persuasive muskets so Mssr. Berrocal, Onda and Warburton were forced to give up the posh plush interiors & fearsome airbrush flames of the promised Boogie Van for coach berth Eurorail transport. Consolation: a box of diecast Matchbox™ replicas of the vehicle that were purportedly handed out as door prizes by the merch table volunteers at each gig. No doubt collector’s items in the making, these little souveniers are likely to fetch ridiculously-inflated returns via Ebay auctions in the coming months.

You could have been Helen Fielding! :)

Thanks for the words - I now look forward to a lucrative Hollywood contract to sign away the movie rights to this one
I loved the bad food descriptions.
